Greenville High School's Grant Excerpt:
"The primary purpose and focus of this project is to increase student achievement through 1) the organization and prioritization of the curriculum, 2) the establishment of clear grade level expectations for all courses, 3) the incorporation of key teaching and learning strategies for prioritized objectives, and 4) the development of benchmarks and procedures to ensure continued quality. More specifically, the research-based strategies incorporated include the use of an essential question for each lesson, implementation of activating and summarizing strategies to actively engage each individual student, use of graphic organizers, specific vocabulary instruction, acceleration and previewing, extension and refining applications, and rubrics."
