Macon County Middle School's Grant Excerpt:
"The 2007 EdTech grant will provide evidence that 21st Century teaching and learning environments, incorporating authentic learning experiences and leading technology integration, are highly effective for standards based instruction with rural, low socio-economic, and, until now, low achieving students. Ultimately, the transformation that this project generates will permeate throughout the school, and this transformation will undoubtedly increase the achievement and change the mind-set of our student population, first in mathematics and technology literacy, and eventually in all aspects of their lives. The success of this project will be appropriate and valuable not only to our school but to other schools in similar situations, as we strive to effectively implement the Georgia Performance Standards."
