Taylor County Middle School Improvement Project:
This innovative project is a customized initiative designed to meet the unique professional development and school improvement needs of the faculty of Taylor County Middle School. The dynamic nature of the project targets the technology integration skills of the seventh and eighth grade team members as they work together to address the unique learning needs of their students. These 15 middle grade teachers and their school administrators, with support from Curriculum Director Tom Callier, School Improvement Coordinator Ellen Peacock, and Technology Support Specialist Bunny Harris, will complete 40 hours of professional development designed to explore concept-specific digital tools and interactive web technologies as tools for performance-based learning.

Members of this unique faculty have consistently proven to be technology leaders in the school system and in the State. They have consistently won recognition in the Georgia Movie Academy competition and completed projects recognized by the National Governor’s Association Policy Conference. Together, these energetic teachers and school leaders will join educators across the globe in exploring how information and communication technologies can empower school leaders, teachers and students toward mastery of the skills needed for success in the 21st century global schoolhouse and tomorrow's workplace.
