The
Georgia Movie Academy (GMA) video-production competition has captured the imagination
of educators and students across the state since its inception at Mabry Middle School
(Cobb County, Georgia) more than six years ago. This competition engages student
teams (3-8 members) in a standards based, cooperative learning video production
project. The Georgia Movie Academy invites educators to register for the
competition, form teams of motivated students, and serve as coaches through the
development of this educational video production.
The 2007-2008 Theme is:
"Connecting to a Global Community".
The 2008 Georgia Movie Academy is a project sponsored by Columbus State University's
Center for Quality Teaching and Learning and the GDOE Educational Technology
Training Center at CSU.
