COMPUTER SKILLS COMPETENCY TEST
The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) requires that all candidates recommended
for certification in the State of Georgia have demonstrated proof of competencies in
Instructional Technology. This requirement is satisfied in most education programs at
Columbus State University by the completion of one of the following courses:
* EDUF 4205 (2) Technology for the 21st Century Classroom
* EDUT 6105 (3) Technology Infusion
Programs in Secondary Mathematics Education, Georgia TAPP, and other internships (EDCI 6698)
allow candidates to meet the technology requirement by passing the state-mandated computer
skill competency test. Effective 9/30/07, the only test the PSC will accept to satisfy the
technology requirement is the new GACE COMPUTER SKILLS COMPETENCY TEST. EDUF 4205 and EDUT
6105 continue to be valid options for meeting the state requirement.
