Schoolwide Consolidation of Funds Training

Session Description:
The Georgia Department of Education (Department) Title Programs Division began
implementation of the Schoolwide Consolidation of Funds project in seven school
districts during FY06. The purpose of the project was to design a process to
implement the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) fiscal requirement for
consolidation of federal funds in schoolwide programs. Through the process of
implementing the Schoolwide Consolidation of Funds project, the Department determined
the critical attributes for consolidation of funds in schoolwide programs:
- Federal funds to be consolidated.
- Accounting procedures for consolidation of funds (Fund 400).
- Procedures for entering schoolwide consolidated budgets in the Consolidated
Application.
Prior registration is not required to attend the
technical assistance sessions.

FY09 Consolidated Application Training

Session Description: The FY 09 Consolidated Application web site is scheduled
to be available no later than May 21, 2008. In preparation for a seamless transition
to the 2008-2009 Local Educational Agency (LEA) Consolidated Application, the CSU
Educational Technology Training Center will provide training on how to navigate
through the revised application. In addition, program specialists from the various
state and federal programs will be available to answer questions related to the
programs included in the Consolidated Application.
