Technical
As education becomes increasingly reliant on instructional and informational technologies, the role of the
technical support professional is rapidly expanding. The unique skill-set needed to maintain a school's
high-speed Internet connectivity, computer hardware, software, and a myriad of related peripherals is evolving.
To ensure the schools in the Columbus State University service area build the capacity needed to optimize
uses of technology for teaching and learning, the Technical Initiative offers practical technical training for
the Information Technology and Technical Support professional. Coursework can be undertaken by individuals, or
technical workshops can be customized to meet the identified training needs of schools and school system employees.
