November 28, 2007 21st Century Tools - Blogging and Podcasting Learn fundamental concepts and operations necessary to effectively use blogging and podcasting in a 21st century learning environment. Use these resources as instructional tools to compliment your classroom or to simply communicate more effectively with students and parents. In addition, explore other related tools such as aggregators, social bookmarking, and photo-sharing services. January 7, 2008 InTech InTech is designed to support the unique needs of P-12 educators as they learn to introduce and integrate modern technologies into daily classroom teaching and administrative practices. Typically, InTech Program participants are entry-level technology users with an interest in developing general technology competency with a focus on improving student learning and performance. InTech's rigorous, 50 hour curriculum immerses the technology novice in an intense, hands-on learning experience designed to build skills and levels of competency in five critical areas of instructional proficiency: 1.) Georgia Performance Standards, 2.) Use of Modern Technologies, 3.) New Designs for Teaching and Learning, 4.) Improved Classroom Management, and 5.) Enhanced Pedagogical Practices. January 30 or February 27, 2008 Making the Most of GSO! GeorgiaStandards.Org and CSU’s ETTC have teamed together to offer a 2 PLU credit course that gives teachers assistance finding resources, integrating educational technologies, and using GSO’s standards-based Unit Builder. This two-week course begins with two days of in-class guided instruction, followed by plenty of at-home time to design your GPS aligned instructional plan.
